Arctic Instruments is a deep tech spin-off from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. We make quantum-limited parametric amplifiers, a superconducting technology that addresses one of the biggest challenges in quantum computing: high-fidelity qubit readout. We are looking to further develop this cutting-edge technology and distribute it among quantum computer builders and researchers to enable them in the race towards quantum utility.
As a Measurement Engineer, you work on and improve various aspects of characterization of our products, including cryogenic characterization.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a Master’s-level degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Has programming experience and is interested in creating reliable computer-controlled measurement procedures.
- Has at least a basic understanding of microwave engineering.
- Has at least a basic understanding of cryogenics.
We have significant flexibility in accommodating different levels of seniority in this role, so please don’t take the above too literally. For example, if you’re a microwave guru, we can certainly teach the cryogenics part to you! Or if you’re about to graduate with a PhD and feel too senior for this position, get in touch anyway. Let’s discuss instead and see if there’s a fit!
We offer:
- A dynamic work environment
- The opportunity to steer how we do things at a quickly developing company.
- A chance to participate in an employee stock option program
